Title: The Lion and the Mouse.
One day a lion was
sleeping in his den. A mouse came out of its hole. He went into the nostril of
the lion. The lion was angry. He caught the mouse with his paws. He was about
to kill the mouse. The little mouse said, "Oh, King of beasts, please
pardon me. I may do you a good turn some day."
The lion laughed and let it go. About a month's later the lion was caught in a hunter's net. The lion began to roar and struggled hard to get out. But all his efforts were in vain. The mouse heard his roar. He cut the rope with its sharp teeth. The lion was set free. "Thank you, my little friend," said the lion. He then went away.
Moral of the Story: Good
deeds never go unrewarded.
