English to Sanskrit Translation- 1
There was a city in which lived a learned but poor Brahmin. His wife was a terrible lady. Being afraid of her, ever a goblin that resided in a three by the door-step, escaped to the yonder forest. the brahmin too set out in panic for a sojourn when the goblin met him on the way.
Sanskrit Translation :-
कस्मिन् चित् नगरे एको विद्वान् परन्तु दीनः विप्रः वसति स्म। तस्य पत्नी अतीव भीषणा रमणी आसीत्। तस्य स्त्रीयाः आतङ्कात् तस्य द्वारदेश वृक्षस्थितः कश्चित् प्रेतः अपि सन्निहितं वनं पलायितः। स व्राह्मणः अपि यदा सदृशात् कारणात् देशान्तरं प्रस्थितः तदा पथि तेन प्रेतेन सह तस्य साक्षात्कारः अवभत्।

When Karna stood up after prayer, he saw the man. "What do you want?" he asked. " You know of my promises", said karna. "If it lies in my power, I shall give you what you want." For a moment karna stood silent.
Sanskrit Translation :-
प्रार्थनावसाने कर्णः उत्थितः सन तत्पुरुषम् अपश्यत्। सः अपृच्छत् - किम् इच्छति भवान्? कर्णः अवदत्- भवान् मम शपथं जानाति। साध्यायत्तम् चेत्, यादव तव अभिलाषः तदेव अहम् पूरयामि। इति उक्त्वा कर्णः क्षणं तूष्णीं स्थितः।

Sanskrit is the oldest of the languages in the world. It is embodiment and torch bearer of Indian civilization. The two great epics, the Ramayana And the Mahabharata, are composed in this very language. It is the mother of the principal Indian languages. So this language must be learnt.
Sanskrit Translation-
पृथिव्याः भाषासु संस्कृतभाषा प्राचीनतमा। इयं भाषा भरतीयाया सभ्यतायाः धारिका वाहिका च। रामायणं महाभारतं च इति महाकाव्यद्वयं अनया भाषया एव विरचितं। भारतीय प्रधान-भाषाणां जननी खलु इयं भाषा। तस्मात् भाषेयं अवश्यमेव शिक्षणीया।
English to Sanskrit Translation- 4
Arjuna was fortunate to have Sreekrishna as his friend and charioteer in the battle of Kurukshetra. At one moment in this battle, he was overcome with pity. The he was willing to be engaged in this war.

श्रीकृष्णं मित्ररूपेण, कुरुक्षेत्रसमरे सारथिरूपेण प्राप्य अर्जुनः कृतार्थोSभवत्। अस्मिन् समरे एकदा स करुणायाभिभूतः अभवत्। तदा स योद्धुं नेच्छति।
