1. English to Sanskrit Translation:

👉There was a king named Dasharatha in Ayodhya. He had three wives and four sons. Ramchandra was the eldest of the sons. To keep this father's promise he went to the forest with his wife Sita and brother Lakmana. When they left Ayodhya, all the citizens got overwhelmed with grief and wept.

Sanskrit Translation:-

👉अयोध्यायां दशरथ इति राजा असीत्। तस्य तिस्रः भार्याः चत्वारः पुत्राश्च आसन्। पुत्रेषु रामः ज्येष्ठः असीत्। पितृसत्यरक्षार्थं सः भार्यया सीतया भ्रात्रा लक्ष्मणेन् च सह वनम् अगच्छत्। यदा ते अयोध्यां त्यजन्ति स्म, तदा नगरवासिनः सर्वे दुःखेन् अभिभूताः क्रन्दन्ति स्म। 

2. English to Sanskrit Translation:

👉Darkness has passed off. The light of the sun is spreading over the earth and once more can see everything. It is morning. Birds are chirping in the nest. Flowers are blooming in the trees. How beautiful the morning is ! Let us go for a walk in the garden.

Sanskrit Translation:-

👉अन्धकारः अपगतः। सूर्यस्य किरणाः पृथिव्यां विस्तारं गत्याः। वयं एपीआई पुनः सर्वाणि वस्तुनि पश्यामः। अधुना प्रभातकालः।  विहगाः कुलायस्थिताः कूजन्ति।  वृक्षेषु पुष्पाणि विकसन्ति। अहो! प्रातःकालः कीदृक मनोरमः। आयात, उद्याने भ्रमाम।     


3. English to Sanskrit Translation:

👉There is a beautiful garden. There are many trees and creepers in the garden. In the trees and creepers, there are charming flowers. There bees hum sweetly. By the cooing of the cuckoos, the spring is there ever present.

Sanskrit Translation:-

👉रम्यम् उद्यानम्। मनोरमाः वृक्षाः लताः च उद्याने।  वृक्षेषु लतासु च सुन्दराणि पुष्पानि। तत्र भ्रमराणां गुञ्जनं।  कोकिलानं कूजनेन् तत्र नित्यं वसन्तकालः विराजते। 

4. English to Sanskrit Translation:

👉There was a city named Purandarapuri in the kingdom of Vikramaditya. There lived a very rich merchant. He called his four sons and said, "After my death you may or may not live jointly."

Sanskrit Translation:-

👉आसीत् विक्रमादित्यस्य राज्ये पुरन्दरपुरी नाम काचित् नगरी। एकः धनी वणिक तत्र वसति स्म।  तस्य पुत्रचतुष्टयमहूय स उवाच-मम मरणान्तरं यूयं एकत्र वत्स्यथे वा न वा।  

5. English to Sanskrit Translation: 

👉When the day came to a close, the moon appeared in the sky with its shining radiance. At the foot of the snow-clad hill there was a beautiful lake with moonbeams reflected in its water. It was an extremely beautiful scene.

Sanskrit Translation:-

👉दिवावसाने आकाशे चन्द्रः समुदित तस्य उज्ज्वलान किरणान विकिरन्ति स्म। तुषारावृतस्य पर्वतस्य पाददेशे आसीत् सुरम्यः सरोवरः, तज्जलस्योपरि चन्द्रकिरणानां छायापतत्। तत् दृश्यम् अतिमनोहरमासीत्।  


6. English to Sanskrit Translation:

👉While walking in the garden the king Bhoja once saw a Brahmin who clsed his eyes before him. The king asked why he was doing so. The Brahmin answered," King! you never give anybody anything as gift. I do not like to see the face of a miser."

Sanskrit Translation:-

👉उद्याने भ्रमन् राजा भोजः एकदा ब्राह्मणमेकपश्यत्। स तु तत्सम्मुखमागत्य नयने निमीलितवान। राजा तत्कारणमपृच्छत्। विप्रस्योत्तरमासीत् - नृप! त्वं कदापि कस्मैचित् किमपि न प्रयच्छसि। कृपणमुखावलोकनं कर्तुं नेच्छामि अहम्।      


7. English to Sanskrit Translation:

👉After birth Sakuntala  was left in a dense forest by her mother. The great sage Kanya found her there. Out of affection he took her to his hermitage. There were two other hermit girls, Anasuya and Priyamvada in the same her-mitage. These three girls played on the bank of malini with deer, peacocks etc.

Sanskrit Translation: -

👉जन्मनः पश्चात् शाकुन्तलां जननी एकस्मिन् गहणारण्ये परित्यक्तवती।  महर्षिः कण्वः तां तत्र दृष्टवान्।  वात्सल्यवशात् स तां आश्रमं नीतवान्।  तस्मिन् आश्रमे अनसूया प्रियंवदा च इति द्वे कन्यके आस्ताम्। इमाः तिस्रः वालिकाः दिवसं यावत् मालिनी इति तटिनीतिरे मृगमयूरादिभिः सह क्रीडन्ति स्म।      


8. English to Sanskrit Translation:

👉There having bathed and having tasted totus stalk I took my seat by the side of the tank. At that time a demon appeared before me and said, "who are you? where from have you come?" Undaunted, I replied to him," I am a Brahmin. I fell into the sea from the hands of the enemy."

Sanskrit Translation:-

👉तत्र स्नात्वा कमलमृणालानाम् आस्वादनं च गृहीत्वा अहम् सरोवरं निकषा उपाविशम्।  तदा कश्चित् दानवः मम समक्षं आविर्भूय पृष्टवान् - कस्त्वम् ? कस्मात् वा आगतः? अहम् निर्भयम् उत्तरामि स्म - विप्रोहम्। शत्रुकवलात् अहम् समुद्रे निपतितः।   


9. English to Sanskrit Translation:
  
👉A rich farmer had a prodigal son whom the father let live alone. But soon he returned a pauper. When he was yet a great way off, his father saw him and was moved with compassion. The son said to him, "Father, I have sinned against God and before thee."


Sanskrit Translation: -

👉कस्यचित् वित्तवतः कर्षकस्य एकः अमितव्ययी पुत्रः आसीत्।  तस्य पिता तं धनादिना अन्यत्र प्रेषितवान्। परन्तु नूनमेव स निःस्वः सन प्रत्यागतः। दूराद आगच्छतः तस्य दुर्दशाम् विलोक्य जनकः दयार्द्रः जातः। तदा पुत्रस्तम् अवदत् -पितः, अहम् ईश्वरम् भवन्तं च निकषा महापराधं कृतवान्। 

10. English to Sanskrit Translation:

👉Today I get up from bed in the morning and went for a walk in the garden near the lake. At that time sun rose and the dew drops were shining on the grass. A soft breeze was blowing and the birds were chirping sweetly. After a stroll for sometime, I Felt Pleasure in the cool air.

Sanskrit Translation:-

👉अद्य प्रातः शय्यायाः उत्थाय अहम् भ्रमणाय सरोवरं निकषा उद्यानं गतवान्। तदा सूर्यः उदितः, तृणोपरि शिशिरविन्दवश्च शोभन्ते स्म। मन्दं वाति स्म पवनः, विहगाश्च अकूजन सुमधुरं। कियतक्षणं तद्देशे इतस्ततः भ्रमित्वा शीतलेन समीरणस्पर्शेन अहम् अतीव सुखम् अनुभवामि स्म।
