महतकार्येषु भृत्यानाम यत साफल्यं, तत्तु प्रभुः प्रभावादेव समुत्पद्यते। नैतद विस्मयकरम।

क्षणं विश्राम्य पुनस्तवाश्वान चालय। पथि नापेक्षन्ते सुहृदो दीर्घं वन्धुकार्ये नियुक्ताः।

कदाचित क्रोधः समीचीनः। निरीहनिपीडनं पश्यन्नपि यः क्रुद्धो न स्याद, सा जनो भीरुः स्वार्थपरायणो वेति कथितः।

सहसा विदधीत न क्रियाम। कार्यात प्रागेव चिन्ता करणीया, सावधानमग्रेसर नतुवा त्वं विपदि पतिष्यसि।

Better than dishonor, dying lasts but a moment, but dishonor endures for ever, and happiness never comes through it.

अपमानात मृत्युरेव श्रेयान। मृत्युः क्षणिकः, अपमानं हि शाश्वतं।  सुखं च तस्मात् कदाचिन्नोत्पद्यते।

वित्तवानसौ जनो दारिद्रसेवायाम आत्मानं नियोजयामास।  कदापि स विलासं नोपभुङ्क्ते, स तु शान्तिमास्थाय मृतः।

सावधानं कर्म कुरु येन हि तस्मिन् कोSपि मन्दो न जायते। प्रभुतात मन्दानुष्ठानात स्वल्पमपि सुष्ठूतयानुष्ठानं वरं।

No animal can live without food. Food keeps up alive. But it does harm if we eat more than we need.

खाद्यं विना प्राणिनो न जीवन्ति। खाद्यं हि अस्मान जीवन्ति। प्रयोजनातिरिक्तम तु खाद्यमस्माकपकरोति।
