Moral Story in English

Title: The Honest Wood Cutter.

There was a poor wood cutter. One day he was cutting a tree by the side of a river. By chance his axe fell into the river. He was a very poor man. So he began to weep bitterly. A water-god lived in the river. He heard his cry. He took pity on him. He dived into the water and came back with a gold axe. He said to the wood cutter, "Is it your axe?" "It is not mine, said the wood cutter. He also refused to take the axe made of silver from the water god.

The water-god was much pleased at his honesty. He gave him all the three axes.
