From ancient times to the present, the place of women has always been in the high seat. At the present time, women have joined hands with men in everything. India has kept their goddess in the seat since ancient times.

The mystery of the creation of women:

In the Brihadaranyaka Upanishads, the female being has originated from the desire of the great man of God to enjoy the diversity of his own creation. The soul was the only one before creation. This Upanishad statement is in fact the Indian idea of the greatness of the female nation. In Indian philosophy, women play an essential role in shaping the diversity of identical, unbroken entities with the creation of women.

The role of women in performing rituals:

The fact that the place of women was improved in the Vedic period attracts us. There is no general disrespect towards women in any of the ancient Sanhita Vedic literature, in the mantras of the Rigveda, in the later Sanhita and in the Brahmanical texts, except in a couple of statements. That is why in the history of ancient India we see ancient Bidushini women, that is why their names are still taken with respect. Such as - Biswabara, Romsha, Lopamudra, Ghosha, Apola, Maitreyi, Gargi etc. women are worth mentioning. Women enjoyed equal rights with men in all spheres of social and family life, not only in spiritual pursuits. Due to the patriarchal social system, the birth of a father's daughter at that time was not inevitable.

Women's education system in the Vedic age:-

It seems that even in ancient times there were no restrictions on women's education. But it is not known exactly whether there was a system of education for women among all classes of people in the Vedic period. However, there is no doubt that the upper class Aryans were biased and interested in women's higher education. This misconception that girls are unauthorized in reading the Vedas did not exist in the time of Rigveda. Women had the right to recite Vedic mantras. That is why upanayan rules were made for women at that time. Girls were usually given in marriage for 16-18 years after getting married. Child marriage was not practiced during the Rig Veda. Girls used to get married when they were adults and as a proof it can be said that in Yajurveda and Atharvaveda it is said that women would get married only after observing celibacy properly.

Marriage system in Rigvedic society:

In Rigvedic society, girls must have had some freedom in choosing their groom. So it is said in Rigveda - "Swayam sa mitram varnute jane chit." At that time not only princesses but all upper class women had the right to choose the groom as they wished. Even if a girl chose her husband, she would be given a dress. We find in the Rig Veda that if a girl did not get married, she would stay in her father's house and get a share of the ancestral property.

Polygamy: -

Polygamy was also practiced in Vedic times but it was applicable only to men.The right of women to polygamy or polygamy may have been in the early Rigveda. But later in the patriarchal society this practice became extinct. Although there are many marriages between men, he thinks that the ideal of conjugal relationship was high in Vedic times. Husband and wife seem to live in happiness and peace. At that time marriage was considered a sacred relationship. The depth and sanctity of the marriage relationship of that time can be known from the Rik Samhita which is found in the marriage mantras.

The practice of satidaha :-

It can be said with certainty that in the Vedic society, at least in the Rigvedic social system, the practice of Including death was not prevalent. The reason is that it is not mentioned anywhere in the Rig Veda. The healthy natural view of the sages of the Rigveda did not deprive widows of their right to life. Widows did not have any difficulty in surviving as this evil practice was not prevalent at that time. They were also allowed to marry at that time but in most cases they were married to their brothers-in-law. But if he wanted, he could marry someone else. At that time, in addition to the sacred ideals of married life, prostitution was prevalent in the Vedic period.

Child marriage practice:-

Child marriage was not practiced at that time. Marriage was performed after 16-18 years of schooling. According to this, those who got married were called 'newlyweds'. Apart from that, there was another class of female students who used to learn from unmarried women for many more days. They were called Brahmavadini. Such women often spent their lives practicing education. Having gained many opportunities in education, they often acquired knowledge in a particular branch of the Vedas. Not only did they receive education but they also taught in public.

The female sage who composed the mantra:-

Somewhere in the Rig Veda we find female sages composing mantras. Even in the age of Upanishads such wise women are known. Who used to participate in philosophical discussions in public meetings. Gargi was one such Brahmavadini lady.

Lady skilled in various arts:-

Apart from these, the special skills of women of the Vedic age are also known in various types of performing art. Although women and men have the right to both music and dance, it seems that women have become more proficient in this art. The Shatapatha Brahman mentions that women used to sew with the help of thread and weave with the help of wool. It is known that many women of that era were skilled in garment decoration.

The place of women in Martial arts:-

Even in Vedic times, the place of women in martial arts has played a significant role. Even at that time we get mentions of women who are skilled in martial arts. Such as - Mudgalini, Buddhimati, Shashiyasi etc. We get the names in the mantra of Rigveda.

Today, women have been participating in many things since ancient times. They have been shoulder to shoulder with men in all moments of life. In ancient times, such as worship, Veda reading, learning, time, war, marriage, women have been engaged in everything. Even though there is still a patriarchal society, women can now do everything as they wish. They can judge their own good and bad by themselves. All women today are entitled to higher education. At present, the working skills of women are increasing day by day.
