गुणा गुणज्ञेषु गुणा भवन्ति ते निर्गुणं प्राप्य भवन्ति दोषाः।

सुस्वादुतोयाः प्रभवन्ति नद्यः समुद्रमासाद्य भवन्तपेयाः।।1।।

Hindi Translation-

गुणवान व्यक्तियों में गुण, गुण ही होते हैं। वे गुणहीन व्यक्तियों को प्राप्त करके दोष बन जाते है। नदिया जिसप्रकार स्वादिष्ट जल से युक्त होकर निकलती हैं ,परन्तु समुद्र में पहुंचकर वे जल पिने योग्य नहीं होती हैं।

English Translation-

The Qualities of the virtuous people are the qualities. Receiving the same quality, the virtuous person becomes a fault. The river comes out with tasty water from the mountains, but when they reach the sea, they will not be portable.

Transliteration-

Guṇā guṇajñeṣu guṇā bhavanti Te nirguṇaṁ prāpya bhavanti doṣāḥ।

Susvadutayāḥ Prabhavanti Nadyaḥ Samudramāsādya Bhavantapeyāḥ ।।

साहित्यसंगीतकलाविहीनः साक्षात्पशुः पुच्छविषाणहीनः।

तृणं न खादन्नपि जीवमानः तद्भागधेयं परमं पशूनाम्।।2।।

Hindi Translation-

साहित्य संगीत तथा कला से रहित व्यक्ति वास्तव में पूँछ व सींग के बिना पशु है ,जो घास न खाता हुआ भी (पशु के समान ) जीवित है। यह उन पशुओं का अत्यधिक सौभाग्य है।

English Translation-

The person who is devoid of literature, music and other skills as like art is actually like a beast without a horn and asking. The one who does not eat grass is alive. well it is a matter of pride for animals that some people are also animals.

Transliteration-

Sahityasangītakalāvihīnaḥ Sākshātpaśuḥ Pucchaviṣāṇhīnaḥ।

Tr̥ṇaṁ Na Khādannapi Jīvamānaḥ Tadbhāgadheyaṁ Paramaṁ Paśūnāṁ।।

लुब्धस्य नश्यति यशः पिशुनस्य मैत्री नष्टक्रियस्य कुलमर्थपरस्य धर्मः।

विद्याफलं व्यसनिनः कृपणस्य सौख्यं राज्यं प्रमत्तसचिवस्य नराधिपस्य।।3।।

Hindi Translation-

लालची व्यक्ति का यश, चुगलखोर की मित्रता ,जिसके कर्मा नष्ट हो चुके हैं उसका कुल, धन को अधिक महत्व देने वाले व्यक्ति का धर्म,बुरी लत वाले का विद्या का फल ,कंजूस का सुख तथा जिसके मंत्री प्रमाद से पूर्ण हैं ऐसे राजा का राज्य नष्ट हो जाता है।

English Translation-

The fame of the greedy person ,friendliness of sagalakhor, the told of dacoits, the religion of the seeker of wealth, the fruit of the teachings of the evil habits, the happiness of mischief,the state minister is filled with dishonesty.

Transliteration -

Lubdhasya Nasyati Yaśaḥ Piśunasya Maitrī Naṣṭakriyasya Kulamarthaparasya Dharmaḥ।

Vidyāfalaṁ Vyasaninaḥ Kr̥paṇasya Saukhyaṁ Rajyaṁ PramattaSacivasya Narādhipasya।।

Sanskrit Sloka - 4

पीत्वा रसं तू कटुकं मधुरं समानं माधुर्यमेव जनयेन्मधुमक्षिकासौ।

संतस्तथैव समसज्जनदुर्जनानां श्रुत्वा वचः मधुरसूक्तरसं सृजन्ति।।4।।

Hindi Translation-

जिस प्रकार यह मधुमक्खी कड़वे अथवा मधुर रस को समान रूप से पीकर मीठा रस ही उत्पन्न करती है। उसी प्रकार सन्त लोग, सज्जन और दुष्ट लोगों के वचन को एक सामान रूप में सुनकर मधुर सूक्ति रूप रस का निर्माण करते हैं।

English Translation-

The bee drinks the juice of bitter or sweet flowers equally, it produces sweet juices. In the same way, the sadhus should say the words of the wicked and the gentle people equally and listen to the melodious voice.

Transliteration -

Pītvā Rasaṁ Tū Kaṭukaṁ Madhuraṁ Samanaṁ Madhuryameva Janayenmadhumakshikāsau।

Samstathaiva Samasajjanadurjanānāṁ Śrutvā Vacaḥ Madhurasūktarasaṁ Sr̥janti ।।

Sanskrit Sloka -5

पृथिव्यां त्रीणि रत्नानि जलमन्नं सुभाषितम्।

मूढैः पाषाणखण्डेषु रत्नसंज्ञा विधीयते।।5।।

Hindi Translation-

पृथ्वी पर जल, अन्न और सुन्दर वचन तीन रत्न है। मूर्खों के द्वारा पत्थर के टुकड़ो को रत्न का नाम दिया जाता हैं।

English Translation-

Food, Water and beautiful words on Earth are the three gems, Gems are considered In stone Pieces by Foolish person.

Transliteration -

Pr̥thvyaṁ Trīṇi Ratnāni Jalamannaṁ Subhāṣitaṁ।

Mūḍhaiḥ Pāṣāṇakhaṇḍeṣu Ratnasanjñā Vidhīyate।।

सत्येन धार्यते पृथ्वी सत्येन तपते रविः।

सत्येन वाति वायुश्च सर्वं सत्ये प्रतिष्ठितम।।6।।

Hindi Translation-

पृथ्वी सत्य के द्वारा ही धारण की जाती हैं। सूर्य सत्यके द्वारा तपता है और वायु भी सत्यके द्वारा बहती है। सारा संसार सत्य पर ही स्थित है।

English Translation-

In this world, The earth is fixed on The truth only, through the truth, the sun roams, the air flows through the truth, the entire world is situated on the truth.

दाने तपसि शौर्ये च विज्ञाने विनये नये।

विस्मये न हि कर्तव्यो बहुरत्ना वसुन्धरा।।7।।

Hindi Translation-

दान में , तप में बल में विशेष ज्ञान में नम्रता में और नीति में आश्चर्य नहीं करना चाहिए। निश्चय ही पृथ्वी अनेक रत्नों वाली हैं।

English Translation-

In charity, in tenacity, in force ,in science , in humility, in the policy, should not be surprised, because of course the earth is with lots of gems.

Transliteration -

Dāne Tapasi Śaurye Ca Vijñāne Vinaye Naye ।

Vismaye Na Hi Kartavyo Bahuratnā VasunDharā।।

Sanskrit Sloka- 8

सद्भिरेव साहसीत सद्भिः कुर्वीत सङ्गतिम्।

सद्भिर्विवादं मैत्रीं च नासद्भिः किञ्चिदाचरेत्।।8।।

Hindi Translation-

सज्जनों के साथ ही बैठना चाहिए। सज्जनों से संगति करनी चाहिए। सज्जनोंके साथ वाद-विवाद और मित्रता करनी चाहिए। दुष्ट लोगों के साथ कुछभी आचरण नहीं करना चाहिए।

English Translation-

Should sit well with the good people, associate with the good people, fight with good people, fight or friendship, and should not behave with the bad people.

Transliteration -

Sadbhireva Sāhasīta Sadbhīḥ Kurvīta Saṁgatiṁ।

Sadbhirvivādaṁ Maitrīṁ Ca Nāsadbhiḥ Kincidācaret।।9।।

धनधान्येप्रयोगेषु विद्यायाः संग्रहेषु च।

आहारे व्यवहारे च त्यक्तलज्जः सुखी भवेत्।।

Hindi Translation-

धन और धान्य के प्रयोग में, विद्या के संग्रह में, और भोजन में और व्यवहार में संकोच को छोड़ने वाला सुखी होता है।

English Translation-

The accumulation of knowledge, the person who is willing to use the money and the grain to gather knowledge and leave the suspicion in food and behavior is happy.

Transliteration -

DhanaDhanye Prayogeṣu Vidyāyaḥ Sangraheṣu Ca।

Āhāre Vyavahāre Ca Tyaktalajjaḥ Sukhī Bhavet।।

क्षमावशीकृतिर्लोके क्षमया किं न साध्यते।

शान्तिखडगः करे यस्य किं करिष्यति दुर्जनः।।10।।

Hindi Translation-

संसार में क्षमा वशीकरण है। क्षमा के द्वारा क्या सिद्ध नही होता है ? जिसके हाथ में शान्ति रूपी तलवार है, दुष्ट उसका क्या कर सकता है।

English Translation-

Everything Can be proven by forgiveness . The man, who has a pardoned sword can not spoil anything. therefore, forgiveness is in the world.
